Johannes Golla (born November 5, 1997 in Rüdesheim am Rhein ) is a German handball player . He plays on the position of the circuit .

Career

society

Johannes Golla started playing handball in his hometown at the age of five with TG Eltville. In the D youth he joined the TuS Dotzheim. Three years later Golla moved to SG Wallau , for which he was also active for three seasons. Then Golla joined the HSG VfR / Eintracht Wiesbaden , for which he appeared in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga . The 1.95 m tall Golla played for MT Melsungen from 2015.

At the end of 2017 it was announced that Golla would not extend his expiring contract with Melsungen. He has been under contract with SG Flensburg-Handewitt since the 2018/19 season . He won the German championship in 2019 with SG Flensburg-Handewitt.

National team

Golla has been Vice European Junior Champion since 2016.

At the U-21 handball world championship 2017 in Algeria (2017) the German juniors lost in the game for third place with 22:23 against France and were thus 4th.

Golla made his international debut for the German national team on March 9, 2019 .

He is part of the 17 squad for the 2020 European Championship and made his first appearance in the main round match against Belarus.

His younger sister Paulina Golla also plays handball.
