Paulina Golla (born December 24, 2000 in Rüdesheim am Rhein ) is a German handball player who plays in the Bundesliga for Buxtehuder SV .

Career

In the club

Paulina Golla learned to play handball at TG Eltville. Here she initially played together with boys in the E-youth. As of 2011, the club had enough players for a female D youth in which she played. With the B-youth of the club Golla ran in the Oberliga Hessen . In 2016, the back court player joined 1. FSV Mainz 05 .

Golla played in the second half of the 2015/16 season for the youth B team of the JSG Mainz 05 / Budenheim syndicate and for the Mainz league team. In the summer of 2016, she was a member of the Mainz second division team. In addition, she went hunting for goals with Mainz in the A-Juniorinnen Bundesliga . With Mainz, she was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2019. Then Golla moved to Bundesliga club Buxtehuder SV. After Golla was out due to injury at the beginning of the season, she made her Bundesliga debut against her old club on September 22, 2019. She scored seven goals in her first European game against GK Astrachanotschka on October 13, 2019 .

In selection teams

Golla was part of the district selection team from 2012 and took part in a Hesse selection course for the first time a year later. After Golla took part in the DHB screening in March 2015, she was invited to a screening course for the German national youth team for the first time in October 2015. In August 2016 she made her international debut for the youth national team at the Girls Cup in Saarbrücken . With the German selection, she won the European Championship title at the U-17 European Championship in 2017 . During the tournament, she scored five goals. A year later Golla failed at the U-18 World Cup in the quarter-finals in the South Korean selection. At the U-19 European Championships in 2019 , she finished 9th.
