Lea Rühter (born February 12, 1998 in Hamburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

Lea Rühter initially played for SG Hamburg-Nord and JSG Alstertal / Norderstedt. In 2014 the goalkeeper joined the Buxtehuder SV , where she initially played in the A-youth in the A-junior Bundesliga and for the 2nd team in the 3rd division . With the A-Jugend from BSV she won the bronze medal in 2015 and the gold medal at the German championship in 2016. In 2017 Rühter won the German championship again and was also elected to the all-star team of the Final Four tournament. In the same year she won the DHB Cup with the Bundesliga team from BSV . In the season 2017/18 she was my second game right for the second division 08 Rose Garden HL Buchholz eligible to play.

Lea Rühter ran for the Hamburg state selection, with which she won the country cup in 2014. Furthermore, she was elected to the all-star team of the national cup when the cup was successful. Then ran for the German youth and junior national team. With these teams she took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2015 , in the U-19 European Championship in 2017 and in the U-20 World Championship in 2018 . As part of a series of friendly matches against Russia , she made her debut for the German senior national team on September 29, 2018 .
