Lone Fischer (born September 8, 1988 in Eckernförde ) is a German handball player who plays for the Bundesliga club Buxtehuder SV .

Life

Fischer began playing handball at the age of six at SG HF Schleswig. In 2002 she moved to TSV Owschlag, where the then youth player was also part of the women's team. Here she was used for the first time in the league at the age of 16. With Owschlag's C-youth she became national champion in 2003. A year later, Fischer triumphed with the Schleswig-Holstein selection at the German national cup for female youth B. During this event, she was elected to the All-Star-Team by the trainers and officials.

In 2006 she won the Oberliga championship with the Owschlags women's team and was promoted to the regional league . In the first regional league season finished winger with Owschlag second place and was top scorer. In the following season the right-hander was again top scorer with 252 goals after TSV again missed promotion as runner-up. In 2008 Fischer left Owschlag to play for Buxtehuder SV in the future. For the BSV, she completed her first Bundesliga game on September 7, 2008, in which she converted three seven meters . Fischer celebrated her greatest success to date in 2010 when she won the EHF Challenge Cup with Buxtehude . In September 2013, Fischer tore a cruciate ligament , which is why she had to pause the rest of the 2013/14 season. With the BSV, she won the DHB Cup in 2015 and 2017 .

In 2005, Lone Fischer was the first player of the Schleswig-Holstein regional association to take part in the European championships with the national youth team. The German girls finished the tournament in seventh place. For the junior national team, the next age group, she played 29 international matches. With the juniors, Fischer took part in the U19 European Championship 2007 (9th place) and the U20 World Championship 2008, in which the German team won the title.

On October 4, 2012 Fischer made her debut in the German national team . In the game against the Czech Republic, she scored four goals. In total, she scored 89 hits in 48 games for the DHB selection. On April 3, 2018, she ended her national team career.
