Magnus Abelvik Rød (born July 7, 1997 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian handball player .

The 2.04 meter tall back player initially played in the Norwegian Postenligaen at Bækkelaget Håndball Elite . In December 2016 he signed a three-year contract with the German Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt, which will run from the 2017/18 season . With Flensburg he won the German championship in 2018 and 2019.

Rød made his international debut for the Norwegian national team on June 4, 2016 , scoring four goals. With Norway he was runner- up in 2017 and 2019 . At the EM 2020 Rød won the bronze medal with Norway. In the course of the tournament, Rød suffered a foot injury, which is why he was no longer able to play in the last few games. He took part in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where he won the bronze medal with Norway .
