Handball Bundesliga 2017/18 for women

The season 2017/18 the second handball league for women was the 33rd in its history. 15 teams played in a total of 210 games for promotion to the top German division. The season began on September 9, 2017 and ended on May 26, 2018. SV Union Halle-Neustadt was promoted to the 1st handball Bundesliga . The HSG Hannover-Badenstedt and the HCD Gröbenzell were relegated to the 3rd division . The SVG Celle was relegated in the 1st Bundesliga, but withdrew his team from the game before the start of the season. Füchse Berlin , FSG Waiblingen / Korb , HCD Gröbenzell and SG 09 Kirchhof were promoted to the 3rd division .

mode

The mode was everyone against everyone with a home and away game. At the end of the season, the league leaders and the second-placed team were eligible for direct promotion to the 1st Bundesliga . The last four teams were relegated directly to the 3rd division . In the event of a tie, the better goal difference decided.
