Hendrik Ochel (born February 26, 1969 in Kiel ) is a former German handball player .
As a left-hander, with the number 3 on his back , he usually played on the right back space . Although he was born in Kiel, his handball career began in southern Germany. First at MTSV Schwabing and from 1986 at local rivals TSV Milbertshofen , where he played until 1993. He then moved to SG Hameln and a year later to THW Kiel , with which he won the German championship in 1995 . At the end of 1995 he went to league rivals GWD Minden , where he ended his career in 1996.
During his time as a Bundesliga player, he scored 912 goals in a total of 227 Bundesliga games, 399 of them by seven meters .
For the German national team , with which he took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona , Ochel played 44 international games in which he scored 104 goals.
