Dani Baijens (born May 5, 1998 in Rotterdam ) is a Dutch handball player . He is under contract with the German club TBV Lemgo and plays for the Dutch national team .

Career

Dani Baijens played in the Netherlands for Snelwiek Rotterdam, Haro Rotterdam and HV KRAS / Volendam . In 2017 the 1.82-meter-tall backcourt player moved to Germany for SG Flensburg-Handewitt, in whose second team he plays in the third division . When the newcomer to the Flensburg Bundesliga team , Gøran Johannessen , injured himself at the beginning of the 2018/19 season , Baijens was appointed to the first team's squad by coach Maik Machulla , for which he scored his first Bundesliga goal on matchday two in a home win against Frisch Auf Göppingen . In addition, he played with SG in the 2018/19 season in the EHF Champions League . In November 2018 he moved to the Bundesliga club TBV Lemgo .

Baijens made his debut on December 21, 2016 in the international match against South Korea in the squad of the Dutch national handball team , for which he has scored 54 goals in 35 games so far.
