The HV KRAS / Volendam is an established in 1963 Handball club from the Dutch municipality of Edam-Volendam .
Men
The club's men's team has played in the Eredivisie, the highest Dutch division, since 2000 and has won the championship seven times and the cup eight times. She also won the Supercup seven times. She has also won the Benelux League three times, a competition founded in 2008 in which four Belgian , Luxembourg and Dutch teams compete against each other.
Since 2003, KRAS / Volendam has regularly participated in international handball competitions such as the EHF Challenge Cup , the European Cup Winners' Cup and the EHF Cup , or its successor, the EHF Europa Cup . In the seasons 2005/06 , 2006/07 and 2013/14 the team started in the EHF Champions League , but failed in each case in the qualification for the main round.
The club's games are played in the Sporthal Opperdam, which can hold 1200 spectators.
