South Korean men's national handball team

The South Korean men's national handball team represents South Korea in international tournaments in Men Handball .

The team has taken part in handball world championships (WM) eleven times so far , the best placement they achieved with eighth place at the 1997 World Cup in Japan .

South Korea was the first non-European nation to reach the final of a global competition ( World Cup or Olympics ) ( Olympia 1988 in its own country ).

*At the 2019 World Cup , the South Korean team, who qualified third in the 2018 Asian Cup, competed with an all- Korean team at the invitation of the World Cup organizers , in which four North Koreans were also placed.
