The North Korean women's national handball team is the selection of North Korean handball players that the handball association of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea represents on an international level, for example in friendly matches against the national teams of other national associations, but also in international competitions. The greatest success was winning the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in 1993 and 2000. Originally, North Korea was qualified for the 1999 World Cup, but was replaced by Ukraine before the tournament began .
