Matthias Struck (born May 15, 1982 in Paderborn ) is a German handball player and handball trainer .

Struck, who last played for the upper division HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof , is mostly used on the right wing , but he can also play in the right backcourt .

Matthias Struck played for VfL Schlangen and HSG Herrentrup-Blomberg before joining the youth department of TBV Lemgo . There he also made his debut in the first handball league . In 2002 he was formally handed over to the neighboring second division club HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof , but was given double play rights and played several times for the TBV, which won the German championship in 2003.

In 2004 Struck moved to the first division club Frisch Auf Göppingen . Here he was a regular player due to the lack of competition, but moved on to HSG Düsseldorf after only one year . There, in turn, he had two strong players in front of him: Frank Berblinger and Alexandros Vasilakis . After possible changes to SG Leutershausen or VfL Pfullingen-Stuttgart were canceled due to the insolvency of both clubs, Struck went to HC Empor Rostock in 2006 , which had just been promoted to the 2nd handball league .

In the summer of 2008, Struck moved to Eintracht Hildesheim on a free transfer . For the 2010/11 season Struck moved to the 2008 European Cup winner HSG Nordhorn-Lingen . In March 2012, Struck signed a two-year contract with ASV Hamm-Westfalen . After his contract with ASV Hamm-Westfalen expired, Matthias Struck signed another contract with Eintracht Hildesheim for two years. From summer 2015 he played for the HSG Augustdorf / Hövelhof and also trained the amateur team there. Since 2017 he has been the coach of the 2nd team and assistant coach of the 1st team at TBV Lemgo .

Matthias Struck has played 34 international junior matches for Germany.
