The fan frankenstolz arena is a large sports hall in Aschaffenburg ( Lower Franconia ).
The hall was the venue for most of the home games of the former Bundesliga handball team TV Großwallstadt . Until July 2007 the hall was still called Unterfrankenhalle . The main sponsor f.an frankenstolz had then secured the naming rights to the hall for 15 years. The abbreviation stands for fan case f entwine proud a schaffenburg and the founder n eumeyer. In addition, a VIP room above the parking garage next to the hall was approved and created. After the 15 years, the VIP room will become the property of the city free of charge.
The handball club used the VIP room primarily for sponsorship events during its home games. In addition, school and city events can be organized in the VIP room, which increases the city's marketing opportunities for the multi-purpose hall.
The fan frankenstolz arena was built in 1991. As part of the Bundesliga handball games of TV Großwallstadt, the hall has a capacity of 4,200 seats. 3,900 of these are seated and 300 are standing. The hall can hold up to 6,000 spectators for other events.
The hall is also known for its use in wrestling: The final rounds of the RWG Mömbris-Königshofen in the team Bundesliga take place here.
Parking is available in the multi-storey car park next to the hall, at the ice rink and at the Schönbusch stadium . Parking is free.
The frankenstolz arena is located in the district of Leider at Seidelstrasse 2. Directly behind the hall are the state vocational school Aschaffenburg and the Main . The Ebertbrücke crosses the river next to the hall.
