Several legally independent insurance companies or groups with their headquarters in Kiel , Münster , Düsseldorf and Hanover operate under the name Provinzial . Today's companies or groups emerged from originally public insurance companies . The operating companies are now unlisted stock corporations . What all provincial insurers have in common is the close cooperation with the savings bank organization .
