Merle Heidergott (born August 14, 1995 in Leer (East Friesland) ) is a German handball player who is under contract with the German first division club HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Life

Merle Heidergott started handball at the age of four. She started her professional career in 2011 in the youth department of VfL Oldenburg and switched to the first team in 2014. From 2015 she played for Werder Bremen in the second division. With 198 goals she was player of the season in the 2nd Bundesliga in the 2017/18 season. She left her contract, which ran until 2021, in March 2019 and signed an initial two-year contract with the first division club HSG Blomberg-Lippe . After just one season, she will return to Werder Bremen in summer 2020.
