Silje Brøns Petersen (born December 5, 1994 in Herlev , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player who is under contract with the German first division club HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Life

Silje Brøns Petersen comes from the Copenhagen suburb of Herlev . She comes from a handball family: Her father was a player and is now a coach, her mother was a Champions League winner and her older sisters Emilie and Nikoline play or play handball professionally.

As a teenager, Silje Brøns Petersen was part of the team at the Danish club Rødovre HK and moved to the second division club Virum-Sorgenfri HK in 2013 .

In 2015 she moved to the Hungarian first division club Siófok KC . Her one-year contract was supposed to be extended in spring 2016, but in May of the same year the contract was terminated and Petersen returned to Virum-Sorgefri. In December 2016 she took over the HSG Blomberg-Lippe from her current commitment . In February 2018, the contract was extended to 2020. She then switched to TuS Metzingen .
