The TV Aldekerk (ATV) is a sports club from the North Rhine-Westphalian Kerken . It was founded in 1907 as Turnverein 07 Aldekerk , renaming it to Turnverein Aldekerk in 1907. The club offers badminton , boules , gymnastics , handball , running , Nordic walking , Pilates , cycling , triathlon , gymnastics , volleyball and water aerobics as well as oriental Dance on.
Handball
The TV Aldekerk is known nationwide for its handball department, whose men's team played in the regional handball league for several years and rose to the 2nd handball league as the biggest success so far in 1990 , but from which ATV was immediately bottom of the table at the end of the 1990/91 season descended again. In 2010 the qualification for the newly created 3rd league succeeded , but here too the ATV was relegated again after only one season. In 2016 the women's team rose to the 3rd division .

basketball
In 1999 a basketball department was established. Only girls and women teams played at the district level, which unfortunately could not achieve any major success. After the founder of the department left, it was not possible to keep the department, which was then dissolved in 2006.
