Aqua aerobics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Water aerobics (also called aqua aerobics ) is a special movement training in water .

The strength and conditioning exercises protect the joints , tendons and back due to the buoyancy of the water and strengthen the muscles and the cardiovascular system . Due to the high resistance of the water, the exercises are sometimes more strenuous than outside the water.

Water aerobics is particularly aimed at the elderly, non-swimmers and those with previous illnesses and is also used in physiotherapy for the purpose of rehabilitation after accidents or operations .
