Anna Monz (born December 8, 1989 in Burghausen ; married Anna Monz-Kühn ) is a former German handball player .

Career

The 184 cm tall goalkeeper was under contract with Bundesliga club DJK / MJC Trier from 2006 to 2012 . Before that she played for SV Wacker Burghausen . For the 2012/13 season she moved to HSG Blomberg-Lippe .

Anna Monz was on the junior national team, where she made sixteen international matches. With the German selection, she won the U20 World Cup in Macedonia in 2008.

She made her debut in the women's national team on March 17, 2016. In the 4-nation tournament in Oslo from 17-20. March 2016 she was used in all three games against Norway, Spain and Brazil.

Anna Monz graduated from the Auguste-Viktoria-Gymnasium Trier in 2009 .

In September 2019 she married her long-time friend Sascha Kühn and has been called Monz-Kühn ever since. In January 2020, she announced the end of her active career at the end of the 2019/20 season.
