Matt Costa
Matt Costa (born June 16, 1982 in Huntington Beach , California , USA ) is an American singer and songwriter.
biography
Matt Costa was born in Huntington Beach and grew up in Cypress , California . He got his first guitar at the age of 12 , but his interest in skateboarding grew and his guitar was forgotten more and more. He got a professional skater contract very early on. But after 7 years of successful skating, his leg was smashed in a serious accident. In the 18 months of recovery , Costa devoted himself to his new and old love: the guitar. The first songs were written and soon his first demo tape was ready. This eventually got into the hands of No Doubt's guitarist Tom Dumont. In 2003 the Matt Costa EP was released. Two years later, the debut album Songs We Sing followed on Jack Johnson 's label Brushfire Records .
