Madame veuve Talma, née Vanhove ("The Widow Talma, née Vanhove", approx. 1823–1830)

Cécile Caroline Charlotte Vanhove , married Talma (born September 10, 1771 in The Hague , † April 11, 1860 in Paris ), was one of the most famous actresses of her time.

Life

From 1785 she was part of the Comédie-Française ensemble . Her first husband was a violinist.

She appeared first as Mademoiselle Vanhove , then (until 1794) as Madame Petit-Vanhove and finally (since 1802) as Madame Talma .

Her second husband François Talma was also one of the most famous actors of his time.

In 1811 she retired from the stage.
