Carolyn Nason-Kreeger (born March 19, 1985 in Lafayette , Colorado ) is a former American soccer player and current coach.
Career
Nason started her active career with the Eagles Soccer Team of Broomfield High School and then played one season for the Mile High Mustangs in the USL W-League . After graduating from high school , she enrolled at Metro State University and played for the Roadrunners Women Soccer Team for a year before moving to Seattle Pacific University in the fall of 2004 . During this time she also played for the Falcons Women Soccer Team and Cool City FC in the Seattle City League. She also won the Special Award in 2004 and was part of the Northwest Athletic Conference All Star Team. After graduating from university, she went to Europe and played for FC Muri in Switzerland. Before moving to the Bundesliga for TSV Crailsheim on January 8, 2009 .
The central defender played in 10 Bundesliga games for TSV Crailsheim before moving to the Regionalliga Süd for 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer of 2009 . After only one season for Nuremberg, she returned to Switzerland.
Beach soccer
After returning to Switzerland, she played for the Beach Soccer League club BSC Wildcats Freiamt in the 2010/2011 season before returning to Colorado in the United States in spring 2011 .
As a trainer
Nason has worked as an assistant coach for the Broomfield Eagles' Varsity Women Soccer Team since her return to the US in early 2011 . In 2016, she took over the head coach position at Colorado United Nike Academy (U-10), a team from the Littleton Soccer Club. In addition, Nason has been coaching the Valor Christian Eagles school team at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch , Colorado, since spring 2016 .
Personal
She has been married to the English lecturer Andrew Kreeger since summer 2009 and has been known as Kreeger-Nason ever since.
