Carrillo is a small impact crater near the eastern edge of the moon on the western bank of the Mare Smythii . In this position, the crater is subject to lunar vibration effects and appears strongly oval due to optical distortions. The rim of the crater is approximately circular, with the wall being thicker in the west than in the east.
