Carson Cistulli

Carson Cistulli (born December 23, 1979 in Concord , New Hampshire ) is an American poet. Cistulli is the author of Some Common Weaknesses Illustrated (2006) and A Century of Enthousiasm (2007) and editor of The Prostituesdays Anthology (2008).

Life and work

Carson Cistulli is the son of Philip Cistulli Jr. and Holly Young. When his parents divorced, he went to boarding school at Milton Academy. Here he began to read and write poetry in earnest. Early influences were Arthur Rimbaud and Kenneth Koch .

He studied at Columbia University with Kenneth Koch and has a Masters Degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst .
