Outbuildings

There is a mausoleum in the surrounding park . It was built in 1784, making it older than Carstairs House. The dome bears the inscription "Sibi et Suis extrui curavit cruilielmus Fullerton de carestairs AD 1784". The lodge flanking the northern approach to Carstairs House is designed in a Tudor Gothic style, similar to the manor house. The former manor was built in 1825 based on a design by Burn. It originally consisted of four buildings surrounding a square courtyard. The farmhouse was upstream. The western building has meanwhile been demolished.
