Carsten Kerner

Carsten Kerner (* 1968 ) is a German basketball official .

Life

Kerner trained as a data processing clerk and studied computer science at the Technical University of Berlin in the first half of the 1990s . He was the manager of the second division basketball team TuS Lichterfelde before he took over the same position in the summer of 1999 for its cooperation partner at the time, the Bundesliga club Alba Berlin . At times he held both offices at the same time. He was also a member of the board of the Berlin Basketball Association and chairman of the supervisory board of the Berlin Basketball Academy. On September 30, 2004, he left Alba Berlin as manager. During his tenure, the Berlin team became German champions four times and DBB Cup winners twice.

After his time as a basketball manager, Kerner worked in management positions in the field of sports management and later in companies that sell tickets for events.
