Carte (unit)

Carte was a French volume and grain measure for dry goods. It was quite different in size. The measure was widespread in Savoy .

• 1 carte = 998.62 Parisian cubic inches = 19.81 liters
• 1 carte = 14 measure (Wiener) = 21.22 liters
• 1 card = 2 Imal
• 4 cards = 1 real / resal

The Imal as a measure of grain was common in the Duchy of Lorraine .

• 6 imal = 1 resal = 15 boisseaux (Paris bushels ) about 180 pounds ( wheat )
