description

The Casa Mur is a typical example of a fortified building with towers in the region Alto Aragón , the northern Aragon in the Pyrenees . In the 16th century, the region was marked by political and social conflicts. At the same time, gangs made the area unsafe.

One of the three defensive towers, one of which is round and two rectangular, has a machine tool for defense. The largest tower served as a retreat for all residents of the village. On the ground floor of this tower there is a chapel with wall paintings.
