Casa Vilamajó.

The Casa Vilamajó is a building in the Uruguayan capital Montevideo .

The building, built from 1930 to 1931 by the architect Julio Vilamajó (1894–1948), is located in the Barrio Parque Rodó at Calle Domingo Cullen 895 , corner of Avenida Sarmiento . It was classified as a Monumento Histórico Nacional in 1990 and was restored at the end of the last decade under the direction of the architect Gustavo Scheps . The Casa Vilamajó shows influences from the Spanish-Islamic culture. The building houses the Museo Casa Vilamajó , which provides information about the work of the architect Vilamajó.
