The Casa de la Vall in Andorra la Vella , literally translated as House of the Valley , is the seat of the Andorran Parliament, the Consell General de les Valls . The building was built in 1580 as a patrician house with a defense tower by the Busquets family and bought in 1702 by the forerunner of the General Council, the Consell de la Terra .

The two-storey building made of unplastered rubble houses old dovecotes in the form of turrets on two outer corners . In the garden in front of the house is the sculpture The Dance by Francesc Viladomat. In the square on the north side of the building is the monument by Emili Armengol on the independence of Andorra in 1993 and the enactment of the constitution.

The judicial administration with the appeals and jury court is located on the ground floor. On the first floor are the meeting room of the General Council , the Sant Ermengol chapel and the cabinet of the seven keys , which serves as an archive for historical documents of Andorra, such as the Manual Digest and the Politar Andorrà , and with the keys of the representatives of all seven parishes must be locked or opened. There is also an ancient kitchen on the second floor, as the general councilors used to have to stay in the house until a decision was made.

The coat of arms of the Busquets family and the national coat of arms of Andorra can be seen at the main gate .
