The Manual Digest is a book about the history, government, customs and manners of Andorra. It was written in 1748 by the patrician and jurist Antoni Fiter i Rossell on behalf of the Andorran Parliament, the General Council . The work is popularly referred to as the Andorra Bible .

The full title reads: Manual Digest de las Valls neutras de Andorra, en lo qual se tracta de sa Antiguitat, Govern y Religio, de sos Privilegis, Usos, Preheminencias y Prerrogativas (Clear manual on the neutral valleys of Andorra, in which his old History, government and religion, its privileges, customs, habits and privileges) .

The historical archives of Andorra, which go back to documents from Charlemagne and Louis the Pious, were processed in the Manual Digest . In addition, a number of oral traditions and moral norms have been incorporated in the form of maxims . This is a continuation of traditional Catalan customary law based on Roman and canon law , the origin of which can be seen in the Usatges of Barcelona.

The original manuscript is kept at the parent company Fiter-Riba, formerly Rossell, in Ordino , from which Antoni Fiter i Rossell also comes. Of the two existing copies, one is in the cabinet of the seven keys in the Casa de la Vall in Andorra la Vella, the traditional Andorran parliament, and the second at the bishopric in Seu d'Urgell .

The Manual Digest is considered one of the most important works of the 18th century in the Catalan language . Its validity was officially ended only with the independence of Andorra in 1993 and the entry into force of the first constitution of the condominium . For centuries the book had served as a reference work and guide for Andorran politicians and officials, but also for the Andorran population.

In 1987 the General Council issued a reprint of the Manual Digest, and in 2000 the Manual Digest was published as a paperback transcription .

In 1763, the clergyman Antoni Puig wrote a simplified version, the Politar Andorrà , which also had a great impact on Andorran society.
