The Casa del Jazz is a jazz club and event venue in Rome .

The Casa del Jazz (Viale di Porta Ardeatine 55) was originally a villa that belonged to a mafia boss in the 1980s. After his death it was converted into a jazz club and eventually one of the well-known venues of the Roman jazz scene. In addition to concerts, jazz educational events, lectures and festivals (such as the Jazzitaliano Live series ) take place there. The Casa del Jazz has an auditorium with 150 seats, rehearsal rooms, bookstore, restaurant and a park that is used for concerts.

Numerous concerts were recorded in the club and released as albums. a. by Stefano Bollani , Franco D'Andrea , Danilo Rea , Furio Di Castri , Paolo Fresu , Roberto Gatto , Enrico Pieranunzi , Gianluca Petrella , Enrico Rava , Danilo Rea, Antonello Salis , Giovanni Tommaso and Pietro Tonolo . In 2005 the Casa del Jazz was awarded the Django d'Or European Jazz Prize.
