Casbah is a Japanese thrash metal band from Funabashi , Chiba Prefecture . The band was formed in October 1983 by singer Taka Hatori and guitarist Nariaki Kida and played Thrash Metal in the style of Slayer and Exodus .

In the following years the guitarist was replaced by Nariaki Kida and then Ryo Murayama, the singer stayed with the band. Then there was the bassist Kouichi Mitani, who was later replaced by Takatoshi "Tabo" Kodaira, and the drummer Takashi Usui, who was followed by Suguru Kobayashi.

The album Barefooted on Earth was released in 1999 by Roadrunner Records and got two single releases.
