Caspar Arnold Grein

Caspar Arnold Grein (* 1764 in Brühl ; † August 11, 1835 in Cologne ) was a German still life and landscape painter and draftsman .

Life

From 1779 Greins trained in Cologne with the flower painter Johann Martin Metz . In 1790 he was responsible for running his own drawing school in Cologne. Grein spent the years 1802 to 1804 in Paris , together with his student Matthias Joseph de Noël , as a student at the École des Beaux-Arts . Then Grein returned to Cologne.
