Caspar von Ketteler

Caspar von Ketteler (* unknown; † May 1, 1616 ) was canon in Münster and Paderborn .

Life

Origin and family

Caspar von Ketteler came from the Westphalian noble family von Ketteler , from which numerous well-known personalities emerged. He was born the son of Conrad Ketteler zu Middelburg and his wife Berta von Raesfeld zu Romberg (daughter of the Provost Goswin von Raesfeld ). They married in 1554, from which the children Rotger (canon in Hildesheim) and Goswin (canon in Münster) also emerged.

Act

By receiving the tonsure on December 2, 1606 Caspar was prepared for a spiritual life and took on 11 December, the Dompräbende the canon Dietrich von Wendt possession after the Turnar Johann von Velen had been presented. With the Aufschwörung on gender Ketteler, Raesfeld, Schüngel and Wullen the following day he was emancipated. Caspar was also canon in Paderborn . He left a will in which he thought of his brother Goswin and his sister ∞ von Diepenbrock.
