Castillo de Atienza
The Castillo de Atienza is a medieval castle in Atienza , a municipality in the province of Guadalajara in the autonomous region of Castile-La Mancha ( Spain ).
history
A Roman and then a Visigoth fortress had already stood on the high rock summit . From the 9th to the 11th centuries it was part of the Moorish defense lines south of the Duero . After the recapture ( reconquista ) of the region by Alfons VI. At the end of the 11th century it was used by the Kingdom of Castile .

Today the still keep a part of the walls and the Arrebatacapas -Tor received.
