The Castillo de Valcorneja is a castle in El Barco de Ávila , a municipality in the province of Ávila in the autonomous region of Castile and León ( Spain ), which was built in the 15th century. The castle standing on a hill is a protected architectural monument ( Bien de Interés Cultural ).

The castle, located on the upper reaches of the Tormes , was a fortress used to monitor the mountain passes. Part of the outer wall enclosure has been preserved. This is where the actual castle is on a square floor plan with four corner towers. Access is via a round arched gate. The rectangular main tower, which towers above the complex, is connected to the other towers by a wall passage.
