Castro Laboreiro is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Melgaço .
The community had 533 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013 the municipalities of Castro Laboreiro and Lamas de Mouro were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Castro Laboreiro e Lamas de Mouro . Castro Laboreiro is the seat of this newly formed municipality.
