The Cat Lake ( English for Katzensee ) is a 1 km long lake with a few bays on the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is in the Vestfold Mountains .
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it descriptive in 1983 because its shape resembles a cat when viewed from the air.
