Catherine Csebits (born February 3, 1999 in Basel ) is a Swiss national handball player .

Career

Catherine Csebits initially played in the youth division of SG ATV / KV Basel and was part of the women's squad in the 2015/16 season. In the 2015/16 season, the backcourt player was awarded the Swiss Handball Award, public favorite SPL . In the 2016/17 season, Csebits attended the handball academy of the Danish club SK Aarhus , for whose junior team she appeared. She also trained with the SK Aarhus professional team. In the 2017/18 season she played for the Swiss first division club LK Zug . Csebits then moved to the German Bundesliga club TV Nellingen . Csebits suffered a fatigue fracture in her right foot while preparing for the season , which meant she was unable to play the first games of the season. After her recovery, she played for Nellingen for the first time in early 2019. In her second game she tore a muscle fiber in her shoulder and fell out again. Csebits was without a club since Nellingen withdrew from the Bundesliga at the end of the 2018/19 season. After a season without handball, Catherine Csebits returned to the Swiss SPL1 and has been playing for the Spono Eagles from Nottwil since the 2020/21 season .

Catherine Csebits has played 9 caps for the Swiss team so far , scoring 11 goals.
