Catherine Guy-Quint

Catherine Guy-Quint (born September 1, 1949 in Poitiers , Vienne ) is a French politician of the Parti socialiste (PS).

Life

Guy-Quint studied teaching and worked as a teacher in 1971/1972. She then studied economics in Clermont-Ferrand and worked as a manager in the construction industry. From 1989 to 2001 she was mayor of Cournon-d'Auvergne . Guy-Quint was a member of the European Parliament from 1999 to 2009 . There she was a member of the Budget Committee and a delegation to the EU-Bulgaria Joint Parliamentary Committee.
