Catherine Thürig

Catherine Thürig (born 1958 ) is a Swiss chess player .

Thürig won the Swiss women's individual championship in Engelberg in 1998 . She is a member of the Olten chess club.

In 1990 , 1994 and 1996 she took part in the Chess Olympiads with the Swiss national women's team. She scored 13.5 points from 30 games. In addition, Thürig was part of the Swiss squad as a substitute for the European Women's Team Championships in 2011 and 2013.

Your Elo rating is 1967 (as of January 2018); this puts her in tenth place in the Swiss women's Elo ranking. Her highest rating was 2120 in January 1996.

In 2017 she was president of the organizing committee for the national tournament in Olten .

Thürig is the IT manager for the Wallisellen community .
