history

In 1932 Paul Schmedding founded a trading company in Hamburg-Altona .

In the late 1950s, the company began specializing in the English confectionery trade. In 1977 the company moved to Goole in the north of England and the Cavendish & Harvey brand was founded. Six years later, the packaging and distribution company at the time moved back to Hamburg before settling in Kaltenkirchen the following year. At the beginning of the 1990s, the company began producing its own candies , which were sold in metal cans . After the subsequent expansion of the factory, the name was changed to Cavendish & Harvey Confectionery GmbH in 1998.

In 2002 the company was bought by the Boettger Group .
