Cecilia Álvarez-Correa Glen (born August 30, 1953 in Ciénaga , Magdalena ) is a Colombian politician .

Life

Correa studied at the Pontifical University of Xaveriana . She is the youngest of eight children of Jaime Álvarez-Correa Díaz-Granados and María de Lourdes Glen Ruiz. From September 3, 2012 to August 11, 2014, she was the successor to Miguel Peñaloza, Minister of Transport in Colombia under President Juan Manuel Santos . Since August 11, 2014, she has succeeded Santiago Rojas as Minister of Economy, Industry and Tourism in Colombia under President Juan Manuel Santos. Her life partner is the Colombian Minister of Education Gina Parody .
