Kees Witteveen , also Cees Witteveen , (born February 14, 1871 in Leeuwarden , † 1927 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch cyclist.
In 1891 Kees Witteveen was the Dutch runner-up in road racing; He repeated this success in 1894 and 1895. In 1893 he finished second behind Jaap Eden in the Rotterdam-Utrecht-Rotterdam race . The following year he won the Groningen – Leeuwarden – Groningen race .
In 1895 Witteveen achieved the greatest success of his career when he was runner-up in the amateur stand -up world championship at the track cycling world championships in Cologne , behind his compatriot Mathieu Cordang and ahead of the Norwegian Wilhelm Henie . In the same year Witteveen started in the 592 kilometer long Bordeaux – Paris race and finished fourth among the amateurs with 27 hours, 47 minutes and 8 seconds .
