The Zethaubach is an almost 9 km long left tributary of the Freiberg Mulde in the Saxon Ore Mountains .

course

The Zethaubach feeds the Zethauer Kunstgraben , which supplies service water to Freiberg.

The stream rises about 2 km south of Zethau on the edge of a small wood near the Saidenberg . After it first runs north, it turns there to the northeast. In the vicinity of the church, the Zethaubach feeds the Zethauer Kunstgraben , which forms the beginning of the lower water supply for the Freiberg district waterway . This ditch is later dammed by the Lower Großhartmannsdorfer Pond and continuously supplies the Freiberg area with process water. The houses of the Waldhufendorf Zethau then extend over about 5 km along the stream. Shortly before the confluence with the Freiberger Mulde near Mulda / Sa. he takes up the Helbigsdorfer Bach from the left .
