Centenary Quaich

The Centenary Quaich (see Quaich ) is a trophy in the sport of rugby union , which is presented annually to the winner of the game between Scotland and Ireland in the course of the Six Nations tournament. The cup has been awarded since 1989, although both teams have played 128 matches by then. The first meeting took place in 1877 and ended 6-0 for Scotland. The first winner of the cup was the Scottish team, which won on March 4, 1989 with 37:21. The Irish team was only able to end the Scottish dominance in 2000 with a 44:22 in Dublin .

A Scottish team has won the cup a total of 15 times. The Centenary Quaich is currently owned by the Irish team, which won the trophy for the 17th time on February 1, 2020 with a 19:12 (HT 10: 6) in Dublin .
