Central Theater (Thale)
The Central Theater is a listed cinema in the town of Thale in Saxony-Anhalt .

The cinema is located at Bahnhofstrasse 5 in Thale on the south side of Bahnhofstrasse, across from Thale train station . A little further to the west is the Friedenspark , the Kurpark Thales. The striking building is considered to be significant in terms of urban development.
Architecture and history
The free-standing three-storey building was built around 1910. The facade of the plastered building is structured by colossal pilasters . There are passages to the left and right of the house. The Central Theater lettering is located above the central main entrance . The building is covered by a mansard roof . The cinema is adjacent to the courtyard.
There are 96 seats in the hall. There is also a separate cinema café with 17 seats.
The cinema opened on November 8, 1911. The first owner was Mr. F. Boenicke. Today the city of Thale is the owner of the cinema after it bought it at auction to secure the preservation of the cinema. It has been leased to Sylvia Walther since 2001 (as of 2015). The city of Thale invested in the interior of the cinema and gradually carried out renovations. In 2011 the company switched to digital technology.
The building is listed as a cinema under registration number 094 45247 in the local monument register.
