The Central Bank of Barbados (Central Bank Barbados, CBB) is a banking house founded in 1972 and headquartered in Bridgetown , the capital of the island state of Barbados . The central bank is the largest banking house in the state and manages the currency of Barbados, the Barbados dollar .

As a central bank, the CBB takes on the following tasks:
- Securing financial stability
- Creation of an intact financial structure
- Promotion of the capital and financial markets
- Lending
- Regulation of lending and currency exchange
The CBB is not a public bank, so that, for example, loans are not granted to individuals, but to organizations of all kinds.
