The coat of arms of the Moquegua region shows the Cerro Baúl.

The Cerro Baúl is a table mountain in Peru . It is located in the Moquegua region , 11 kilometers northeast of Moquegua . Since the mountain was a site of the Wari culture until around the year 1000 , it is now a ground monument . There are extensive remains of settlements on the mountain that have been excavated by employees of the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago since it was discovered in the 1980s . The coat of arms of the Moquegua region shows the Cerro Baúl.
